# Privacy

craigjamieson.com uses no analytics, no advertising, no cookies and no forms. Visits are not tracked, profiled or sold, and there is no account to create. The one thing that leaves your browser is a question you choose to type into Digiguru, the assistant on this site.

## Stored in your browser

Three values stay on your own device and never leave it: whether you have visited the About page before (used to vary its greeting), whether the opening animation has played this session, and any Digiguru conversation, kept for the length of the browsing session so it survives moving between pages. None identifies you; clearing browsing data removes all three.

## Digiguru

Digiguru is the assistant built into this site, named after the handle Craig has used online for years. Nothing happens unless you open it and ask something. A question is sent to this site’s own server, which retrieves the relevant parts of Craig’s published knowledge and passes both to an AI provider to compose the answer; that provider processes the request under its own terms. No transcript is kept. The server records only that a question was asked, how long it took, which knowledge documents matched and what it cost in tokens — never the question or the answer. Everything Digiguru can say is published at /knowledge.json. Do not send personal or confidential information through it; use email instead.

## Third parties

The site serves its own scripts and animation libraries, so no third party is contacted to render an ordinary page. Videos and X posts inside articles do not load automatically: you see a locally served still image or the post text, and YouTube, Vimeo or X is contacted only if you press play or choose to load it. Until then, no third party is contacted at all.

## Hosting

Hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and operations. Those logs are not used to profile visitors.

## Email

Messages to hello@craigjamieson.com are kept only as long as needed to reply and keep a record. No mailing list, no sharing.

## Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what data is held, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. In practice this applies only to email correspondence. Contact hello@craigjamieson.com.
